Can I access a campus computer from home through Remote Desktop?

Yes you may, through the Computer Science Virtual Computing Lab just use Remote Desktop and connect to vclab.cs.odu.edu.

Remote Desktop is located under Accessories in the Start Menu of Windows based machines. It can be downloaded from http://microsoft.com/mac for Macintosh, and Linux has many clones such as rdesktop.

For students with an assigned research computer, just mail root@cs.odu.edu to request Remote Desktop access be enabled to your machine, then connect to it via its IP address.
