What are the hours of the open computer labs?

We have two open labs available for use. They are the Problem Solving Lab located in room 103 Spong Hall, and the Open Research Lab located in room 3104 in the Engineering & Computational Science building (3rd floor). Both labs require a valid CSNET account for use.

After hours access to the Problem Solving Lab is available to all students currently enrolled in a CS course. After hours access to the Open Research Lab is available to all Computer Science majors. In order to gain 24/7 access you first need to go to the main office in the E&CS building (room 3300) and pay the $10 fee for a proxy student id card. Once you get your new card from the Monarch Card Center in Webb Center, send an e-mail to root@cs.odu.edu with the first five numbers on the back of your new card (below the magnetic strip) requesting access. Your access will be granted within 72 hours. For E&CS lobby access after hours you will need to mail Public Safety at occshelp@odu.edu to request it.
